July 15 Coffee Church Highlights

I am loving the Amazing Stories series! It’s so fun to have our teaching team share one of their favorite stories/characters from the Bible.  I just love the Bible.  Go to www.youversion.com to set up a Bible reading plan for your own life.  What is your favorite story from the Bible?

Since last Sunday, we got to meet the third baby this month!  Zephan Thalhofer was born on Monday, July 9 to proud parents Josiah and Vanessa Thalhofer.  Josiah is on our teaching team and Vanesa is the Children’s Pastor at Battle Ground.  Couldn’t be more proud of these two!

Apparently the floodgates of new guests opened up at Hazel Dell yesterday.  We were blessed to meet a lot of new people and hope that you all had a wonderful time at our church.  It’s our goal that you have a comfortable experience and that we can help you find the right church home for your family!

We have absolutely the best volunteers at our church!  They not only serve when they are on the schedule, but people jump in and help anytime they see a need.  That’s a strong church when people take responsibility for THEIR church.

Two of the new babies came to church yesterday.   Little Cora was at Battle Ground and Skyler was at Hazel Dell.  Not to mention the ton of other babies around!  It’s baby madness at North Creek!  We have another little boy due tomorrow, so watch for that announcement SOON!

Chris Harold filled in for worship leading at Battle Ground yesterday.  You didn’t know he could speak and sing, did you?  I wonder if he can dance, too?  Matt did a great job, as usual, as well.  So blessed by worship leaders who love the heart of God!

The KidCity room at Hazel Dell got a makeover this week!  It’s not quite done, but it’s great!  It brighter with some new paint, fresh carpet tiles on the floor, and some super cool artwork going up over the next couple of weeks.  The same look will be done at Battle Ground in August, so stay tuned!

Last week our two sermons were on Samson and Samuel.  This week is was Barnabas and Barrabas.  We didn’t plan that.  Our team might just indeed share a brain!

Our missions team leaves for the Dominican Republic on Friday.  Would you commit to praying for us over the next couple of weeks?  We will be working with teenagers who need to know the love of Jesus.  This might just be the Coffee Church’s specialty!

Do something encouraging this week for someone else who needs to know the love of God.  Hope you are blessed as well!
