July 17/18 Highlights
Here’s my highlights from church this weekend. Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did!
It’s was my 34th birthday on Saturday! Lots of love from friends and family. I am grateful for the caliber of people in my life. I have so much to learn from everyone about how to be a better wife, mom, pastor, and friend! The best way to grow is to surround yourself with amazing people!
It was musical services at church this weekend. I think the entire 9:00 am service went to check out the Saturday night service. Overall our numbers are better than ever, but you wouldn’t have guessed that if you were in the 9:00 this morning. Don’t worry! Everyone will settle in just fine in a couple of weeks and it will all even out. We know where most people intend to attend, so just hang on for a bit! Change always stirs up the pot for a while.
We had several guests come today from our beach ball advertisements. Thanks to everybody who took the time to pass a few out. We look forward to adding some new faces to our church family!
One of our former teenagers from our youth pastoring days came this morning with his wife and two children…yep, that makes me feel old.
A guy walked into the church on Saturday night because he thought we were a restaurant. I told him we were a church, he looked around, and said, “No really, what is this place?” I said, “A church.” He said, “Come on, quit fooling. What kind of food do you serve?” Trust me, buddy, you’d rather have my Jesus than my cooking…
Gregory and Martha both taught the Great Adventurers for the first time this weekend. WAY TO GO! I love when people step out and lead. So glad to have you on the team!
The majority of youth were NOT in the house this morning due to the missions trip. Yucky. I don’t want a church without teenagers. They bring life, energy, and eccentricity to our services. Come back!!!!!
Worship was really good this weekend! Thanks to all of you who sing, play, and run sound/media for three services. It’s a big job, but you do it well!
OK, so here we go again. Another week ahead of us and so many great things in store for your life and for North Creek Church. Remember that you are LOVED by a God who is crazy about you just for being you. He wants to be WITH you, with no strings attached.
Invite someone to church next week!
